Jose Tavarez
Hi! My name is Jose Tavarez. I am a junior & currently the Board of Education representative for MetEast High School. MetEast High School is a once in a lifetime opportunity. However, students must be willing to take advantage of the opportunities presented and accept guidance from their teachers to thrive here. I decided to come to this school for many reasons. Some were that I wanted a safe environment to study in, a place where teachers cared about their students’ education, and a new innovative way of prepping myself for not only college and life itself. The deciding factor of my attendance here was the aspect of being able to go out into the real world and experience things I am passionate about. I have burning passions for health, fitness, and baseball. So, I ended up establishing my internship at Velocity Sports Performance. Velocity is America’s top rated sports performance facility. Here we train athletes, of all skill levels and ages, to help them reach that great level of performance in their specific sport. I have been at Velocity for the past year and have learned and been given so much of an advantage on reaching my dream in life of becoming a sports performance coach. Thanks to MetEast, I know what I want to do in life and am being provided with the education and experience I need to get there! This is REALLY a once in a lifetime opportunity!
